The Beaverton Music Festival is moving to the heart of downtown for its third year with nine hours of live music.
The shift from Griffith Park to 12600 SW Crescent St. puts the all-ages festival within steps of the Beaverton Central MAX station and the city's restaurant row.
Two stages will run simultaneously: a main lineup on the City Hall Plaza stage and cultural performances at The Round, including Portland Taiko drumming with Kalabharathi School of Dance.
Headlining is Precious Byrd, a Pacific Northwest act whose credits include Grammy Award-winning bassist Lonnie Chapin and saxophonist Andy Warr, known for his work on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
The confirmed City Hall Plaza lineup spans genres: Aaron Nigel Smith (country reggae, 1–1:50 p.m.), Son de Cuba (Latin, 2:15–3:05 p.m.), Kivett Bednar Band (blues/soul, 3:30–4:20 p.m.), The Flowtenders (Motown, 4:45–5:35 p.m.), and Remedy (classic rock, 6–6:55 p.m.). Additional acts are still being announced.
Festival producer Florian Raqueño runs the nonprofit through a three-member board with Megan Collins and Brenda Seymour. In an interview with Willamette Week before the August 2025 festival, Raqueño described the mission behind the free event: "What really drives us is just providing this to people who otherwise would not experience live music."
The 2025 festival at Griffith Park drew roughly 80 volunteers and more than 20 sponsors. For 2026, confirmed sponsors include the City of Beaverton, Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce, KINK FM, Lazy Days Brewing, Sokol Blosser Wine, and Unitus Community Credit Union.
Volunteers can sign up at signup.com/go/XAKUroE. The festival on Augsut 15 runs noon to 9 p.m. Admission is free; the nonprofit accepts tax-deductible donations at beavertonmusicfestival.com.
