Dean P. Moberg is running for reelection to Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District At Large Position 2 in the November 3, 2026 election. The nonpartisan district serves Washington County.

On his campaign biography page, Moberg says he was first elected to the district board in November 2020 and reelected in 2022. The original draft’s description of his service beginning in 2022 has been corrected.

Moberg describes a 35-year career with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and retirement in March 2020. He lists degrees in plant science from the University of California, Davis, teaching from Cornell University, and environmental science and engineering from Oregon Health & Science University.

His campaign priorities include climate adaptation, reducing emissions, protecting the Tualatin River from pollution, conserving water and supporting habitat for pollinators and birds. He also emphasizes the viability of farms and forests.

Moberg says district programs should serve urban and rural residents and invite participation from historically underserved communities. These are his published campaign positions, rather than answers to a submitted Surround Sound Media questionnaire.
