The volunteer-run nonprofit that produces Beaverton's free multicultural music festival is asking neighbors to chip in before the gates open Saturday, Aug. 15.

Florian Raquéño Productions, the 501(c)(3) that organizes the Beaverton Music Festival, posted a donation drive on its website Aug. 12 to cover talent, sound production, permits and licensing for the event at City Hall Plaza and The Round, 12600 S.W. Crescent St. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made online or by check mailed to PO Box 231256, Portland, OR 97281.

The third annual festival runs noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, with gates at 11:30 a.m., according to the Valley Times. Admission is free.

Florian Raquéño, who serves on the nonprofit's three-member board alongside Megan Collins and Brenda Seymour, told Willamette Week in August 2025 that the all-volunteer crew keeps the festival free because of who it serves: "What really drives us is just providing this to people who otherwise would not experience live music."

That model relies on community support. Last year, more than 70 volunteers and over 20 sponsors powered the event, according to the Beaverton Valley Times. The city of Beaverton lists the 2026 festival as a "city supported event" on its official calendar, and the nonprofit received an Inspiration Award grant from Explore Tualatin Valley.

Saturday's lineup stretches across genres and cultures. Son de Cuba brings Latin music to the City Hall Plaza Stage at 2:15 p.m., while Kalabharathi Dance and Portland Taiko share a South Indian classical and Japanese drumming set at The Round at 4:10 p.m. A free Latin dance lesson is open to all at 1:25 p.m. Six acts fill the City Hall Plaza Stage, headlined by Golden Hour from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Florian Raquéño Productions is a member of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Oregon Festivals & Events Association. The nonprofit launched the festival in August 2024 at Schiffler Park before moving it to The Round for its second year.

Food trucks, artisan vendors and a beer and wine garden round out the day. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Limited street parking is available, plus two nearby garages at $1 per hour.
