Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies will meet with Beaverton residents over coffee on Oct. 7 at Tall Fir Coffee, 14647 SW Millikan Way.

The drop-in event runs from 7:30 to 9 a.m. No registration is required.

The sheriff's office described the gathering as informal, with no speeches or set agenda, according to an announcement on the agency's website.

The agency holds the events annually and encouraged residents to ask questions and share ideas with the deputies who patrol their neighborhoods.

The Oct. 7 session is one of three Coffee with a Cop events the sheriff's office scheduled across its service area for October.

The Beaverton gathering at Tall Fir Coffee is the only one within city limits.
