The Beaverton Night Market returns to The Round on Saturday, August 8, for a free evening of globally inspired street food, handmade crafts, live music, and dance performances.

The city's Diversity Advisory Board hosts the event, which runs from 5 to 10 p.m. at 12600 S.W. Crescent St. No tickets or registration required.

The Night Market is in its 12th year, according to the Beaverton Valley Times. What started as a neighborhood gathering has become one of the city's largest recurring cultural events, drawing thousands of attendees each summer to browse vendor booths and watch performances that reflect Beaverton's diverse population.

Nearly one in five Beaverton residents — 18.4%, per 2022 census estimates — was born outside the United States.

The Night Market gives that diversity a public stage. The city describes the event's goal as creating an intercultural, family-friendly space modeled after night markets found across Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific Islands.

The Diversity Advisory Board, a volunteer body appointed by the city, curates the evening's programming. Specific vendor and performer lineups for the August 8 event had not been posted as of July 24.

In past years, the Night Market has featured Samoan dance, Chinese lion dance, Danza Azteca, and Hip Hop performance alongside food vendors representing cuisines from across the globe.

Parking at The Round is limited. Organizers encourage attendees to take public transit, bike, or walk. The venue sits in Beaverton's downtown core near several bus lines.
