Dozens of food vendors, artisans, and performers will take over The Round in downtown Beaverton on Saturday, August 8, when the city's annual Night Market runs from 5 to 10 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event draws roughly 14,000 attendees each year, according to city figures cited during the market's 10th-anniversary celebration in 2024.

The city announced the 2026 edition on Wednesday, July 22, through its official "Your City" newsletter.

What to expect

The Night Market fills the public plaza at 12600 SW Crescent Street with booths offering food, clothing, jewelry, art, and other goods reflecting cultures from across the globe.

Past editions have featured vendors representing traditions from Asia and the Pacific Islands, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Native American communities, among others.

The city is seeking vendors whose products "reflect the cultural traditions, heritage, or identities they represent," according to its vendor FAQ page.

Live entertainment and family activities round out the evening, though the city has not yet released a 2026 performer lineup.

Origins and significance

The Night Market grew out of Beaverton's Diversity Advisory Board, a group of appointed community volunteers focused on equity and inclusion. The event launched in 2014 and has run annually since.

"Beaverton Night Market began as the dream and vision of volunteer board members more than a decade ago," Mayor Lacey Beaty said in August 2024, when the market celebrated its 10th anniversary. "This annual celebration and expression of our deepest values is one of my favorite things we do as a city."

Nearly one in five Beaverton residents is foreign-born, according to 2022 Census estimates, giving the market a built-in constituency.

Getting there

The Round is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development that opened in 2003. It houses condominiums, offices, and restaurants, and the MAX Blue Line's Beaverton Central stop sits steps from the plaza entrance.

Parking near The Round is limited. The city encourages attendees to use MAX light rail, carpooling, or rideshare services.
