The assisted living community formerly known as Canfield Place has a new operator and a new name after Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle took over management on July 15.
The facility at 14570 S.W. Hart Road is now called Addington Place of Canfield. Monthly rates start at $5,281, according to Senior Lifestyle's website, and the community offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 454 to 829 square feet.
Executive director Sam Gast said residents can expect continuity of care along with new resources from Senior Lifestyle, including restaurant-style dining and cultural programming the company calls "Signature Experiences." Gast told the Beaverton Valley Times that families and staff "can expect the same personalized care, trusted relationships and open communication they have always known."
Senior Lifestyle, a privately owned company founded in 1985, operates more than 80 communities across more than 20 states.
The company also operates Courtyard Fountains in Gresham, according to online listings, making Addington Place of Canfield its second Oregon location.
Under the new management, the facility keeps its existing amenities: fitness center, salon and barber shop, theater, library, game room and garden.
Senior Lifestyle plans to add its Signature Experiences programming, which includes restaurant-style dining with private dining options, Friday night karaoke, happy hours and community garden activities. No launch date has been announced.
The community offers assisted living and short-term stays on a rental basis, with yearly agreements and month-to-month flexibility. Rates cover chef-prepared meals, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, 24/7 staffing and an emergency alert system. The facility is pet-friendly.
The building also serves as the regular meeting spot for the Highland Neighborhood Association Committee, which gathers the second Thursday of each month except July and December at 6:30 p.m. Residents with questions can reach the facility at 503-626-5100.
