OSU study finds smoke days at schools surged eightfold

An Oregon State University study found the average number of annual smoke days at U.S. public schools jumped from 6.8 to 54.4 over 17 years, with some schools recording worse air inside than outside. Beaverton School District is upgrading HVAC systems at two high schools, but the filtration specs and district-wide readiness remain unclear.
